Technical Skills


§  Basic metal work equipment use and maintenance: MIG and TIG welders, Oxyacetylene equipment and tanks, plasma cutter, drill press, angle grinders, die grinders, tap and die threading and abrasive saw.

§  Proficient TIG and MIG welding with steel and bronze with blueprint experience.

§  Metal lathe, subtractive and threading processes.

§  Basic wood shop equipment use and maintenance: band saw, mitre saw, table saw, wood lathe, drill press, hand drills, belt sanders, air compressors, and routers.

§  3 years foundry experience, bronze pour.

§  Refinishing and patina on steel and bronze sculptures.

§  Clay, wood, wax, plaster and life molding.

§  Slurry mixing and silica shell coating for lost wax.

§  Hand carving tools processes and sharpening, for wood and stone.

§  Basic glass blowing technique.

§  Basic Ceramic techniques, wheel and hand built.
